Parenting Support Counselling - Online

Being a Parent Doesn’t Mean You Have to Do It Alone
Person-Centred Support for Parents and Caregivers
Parenting can be deeply rewarding — and deeply overwhelming. It’s not unusual to feel stretched, uncertain, or like you’re constantly falling short. You might be managing emotional outbursts, navigating co-parenting dynamics, or simply running on empty, trying to hold everything together. But you don’t have to do it all alone. Support is available.
A Person-Centred Approach to Parenting Support
My approach is person-centred, integrative, and collaborative. I offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you can speak openly about what’s feeling difficult — without pressure, shame, or quick-fix advice.
At the heart of my work is relationship. I take the time to understand what matters to you and tailor our sessions around your needs, values, and family context. You are the expert on your child and your life — my role is to support you with care, curiosity, and empathy.
Parenting support isn’t about being told what to do. It’s about creating space to reflect, reset, and reconnect with the kind of parent you want to be.
Support for a Range of Parenting Challenges
Every family is different. I work with parents and caregivers at all stages of life — supporting a wide range of experiences, including:
Parenting stress, overwhelm, or burnout
Emotional outbursts or behavioural struggles
Feeling disconnected from your child
Single parenting or co-parenting dynamics
Guilt, self-doubt, or feeling “not enough”
Balancing work, family, and personal needs
Navigating change, transition, or family tension
Wanting to build stronger connection and boundaries
Sometimes, the hardest part is simply admitting that it’s tough. You are not failing — you're human. Counselling can help you feel supported, resourced, and more grounded in your role as a parent.
How Parenting Support Can Help
You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from support. Often, creating a quiet space to reflect on what’s working — and what’s not — can be enough to start shifting things.
In our sessions, we may explore:
What’s feeling most challenging right now
Patterns of stress, reactivity, or disconnection
Your values and hopes as a parent
Strategies to manage overwhelm and emotional triggers
Boundaries, communication, and emotional regulation
Ways to rebuild connection with your child — and with yourself
We work at your pace. You can bring questions, confusion, silence, or emotion — all of it is welcome.
Parenting and the Nervous System
Parenting under stress can activate the nervous system in ways that are hard to manage — especially if you're carrying your own experiences of trauma, anxiety, or emotional dysregulation. Together, we can explore how to bring more awareness and self-compassion into your responses, helping you feel more confident and connected in moments of tension.
This isn’t about perfection. It’s about parenting from a place that feels more aligned, grounded, and true to you.
Online Sessions
I offer online parenting counselling sessions across Western Australia. Online sessions are a flexible option, especially for busy parents balancing work, school, and home responsibilities.
You're Not Alone in This
If you're feeling overwhelmed, unsure, or just need someone to talk to — you’re not alone. Parenting is hard, and reaching out for support is a sign of strength, not weakness.

“Parenting is a constant balance between holding on and letting go — a life lived in the tension of deep love and slow release. It’s one of the most beautiful and most difficult things we’ll ever do.”
